Suspect Allegedly Wielding Knife Shot by Sunnyvale Police

A male suspect was shot by Sunnyvale police on Saturday at approximately 5:30 p.m. The incident happened at a mobile house park on Vienna Drive, located off Tasman Generate and the Lawrence Expressway in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County, California.

According to a press release issued by the Sunnyvale Division of Community Basic safety (DSPS), officers were being dispatched to the scene in reaction to a contact. Upon arrival, they encountered an grownup male in the roadway, brandishing a knife. The officers straight away instructed the suspect to keep on being in which he was and to place the weapon on the ground.
