An Ohio person is experiencing assault costs in Florida just after a brawl at a Disney Environment vacation resort that was allegedly sparked when he manufactured fun of a female with Down syndrome.
Brent George, 61, was arrested in January adhering to an altercation at Disney’s Boardwalk Vacation resort in Orlando. According to a possible induce affidavit, police were being called to the Belle Vue Lounge, a “small bar region” at the vacation resort, wherever George had evidently been drinking with his wife and two good friends on Jan. 25.
“Brent had a few shots of bourbon and a beer though at the bar,” the affidavit noted.
The officer determined as victims Candace Boyette Goldberg, Wesley Goldberg, Maria Ayalde, and Richard Goldberg.
“With them was an unnamed sister of Wesley and daughter of Candace who is handicapped, has Down syndrome, and is wheelchair bound,” the officer wrote in the affidavit.

George explained that he “went in excess of to the spot the place the victims were, but did not recall everything specific owing to getting intoxicated,” the affidavit suggests — whilst he did evidently recall that he was “having a ‘good time’ with the folks and then he was attacked by them.”
That attack, George allegedly said, incorporated being hit in the encounter with a glass ingesting cup, and despite currently being unable to recall any other specifics and not getting capable to establish who strike him, he reported he wished to push charges.
George’s pal Ward Weber, meanwhile, reported that he observed George “stroll around to the victim’s desk due to the fact they were ‘acquiring exciting.’”

Candace stood up and confronted him by inquiring if Brent was producing exciting of her daughter. Brent stood up and bodily shoved Candace again two times. The affidavit noted that there was no broken glass located at the scene and “it is thought no glass cup was utilized in this incident.”
A handcuffed George was taken into custody, whilst jail workers initially refused to just take him in thanks to his injuries, “believing he may well have a facial fracture,” the affidavit claims.
George was finally booked into the corrections heart immediately after currently being evaluated and medically cleared, the affidavit says. He posted bond the subsequent day.
